Hi. I’m Cookie. Welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.

I buy things I don’t need. Let’s call it what it is. Shopaholic tendencies, a slight squirrel-like problem, and a genuine inability to scroll past something shiny. Until I figure it out, I might as well make myself useful. Hopefully this entertains you along the way.

What started as trying to understand my own buying habits turned into a deep obsession with why anybody buys anything. The psychology, the marketing, the behavior. I wanted to understand why I do these things. Unfortunately, I still can’t help myself. I keep doing them. But knowing the why? That’s everything. I’m going to share what I learned.

In search of the next shiny thing, I started noticing patterns. Tells. Whatever you want to call them. Once you start paying attention, you start seeing it everywhere. Someone raving about something one week and two videos later it’s in the declutter pile without a word. I don’t think reviews should be for sale. We’re not doing that here.
