Spend enough time watching hair tool reviews and you start to notice something: nobody ever says the Dyson isn’t worth it, and nobody ever says the Shark is a bad buy. The Coanda effect is less pronounced here, which means less automatic curl — but also less frizz and more control for people whose hair is naturally straighter and wants to stay that way. Straight hair, want a polished blowout finish: Shark FlexStyle. It’s better at that specific thing and it costs less. That’s not a consolation prize, that’s the right answer. Very thick, coarse, resistant hair that needs real heat to move: honestly, neither of these. Both are designed around lower heat, which is a feature for most people and a real limitation for hair that won’t cooperate without it. A traditional blow dryer and round brush will do more for you and cost less. I know that’s not the exciting answer but it’s the true one.
